Community Partnerships

Annual John Deere Classic

Arrowhead youth are given the opportunity to work a world-class event and have been setting up and tearing down the week-long golf tournament for years. Arrowhead residents get to know professional golfers and work side-by-side with many community leaders who treat them with respect and gratitude for their work. Arrowhead has also been fortunate enough to be the recipient of many contributions from golfers and their families. Arrowhead is grateful for this opportunity to serve the community.

Rise Up Garden Project

The Rise Up Project is a non-profit workforce/career development program that recognizes the specific needs of court-involved youth. The program presents real-life work experience through gardening and connection to possible career paths, using gardening as a tool to teach employment skills to the youth that participate at Arrowhead in the summer.

Quad City Arts Annual Festival of Trees

Kwik Star and Quad City Arts’ Annual Festival of Trees provides an opportunity for Arrowhead residents to work with adult volunteers and many different people from the community by setting up and tearing down for this festive holiday event.  This work helps the youth build self-esteem and understand how important their help is to the community as a whole.

New Kingdom Trailriders

Arrowhead Youth are provided with the opportunity each week to visit New Kingdom Trailriders. New Kingdom Trailriders is the Quad Cities' premiere non-profit Therapeutic Horseback Riding Facility, positively impacting the cognitive, physical, emotional, and social well-being of our youth through their equine activities. Our youth love being able to ride the horses, and have even volunteered on NKT’s campus.

If your organization or event would like to work with Arrowhead including community opportunities, volunteering, or local activities for our youth, please contact Kari Ross at kross@arrowheadyouth.org
